Why join the National Association of Minority Contractors - South Carolina?
In our opinion, the biggest obstacles in our construction-contracting is the lack of ability to leverage projects through joint venturing and partnerships. Plain and simple, not having the capacity to pursue, win and execute successful projects. This is why the South Carolina Minority Contractors Association (SCMCA) joined the National Association of Minority Contractors in Washington, DC and officially changed its' name to the National Association of Minority Contractors - South Carolina. By joining NAMC, we believe we can expose our member companies to more opportunities to pursue viable projects (Bids), thus increasing our opportunity to get the bid. We also believe there is an opportunity to unify minority contractors across our state for a common goal: access to opportunities.
What are the benefits if my company joins?
First of all, your company will be aligned with a network consisting of like-minded companies who are concerned with increasing their business opportunities and growing their businesses.
You will be part of a state association aligned with a national association which have common goals. This partnership will give you advance notice of contracts and procurement opportunities not only in South Carolina but also in other areas.
This is just a small array of benefits that the association can do now – we expect to do much more in leveling the playing field for minority contractors.
